Meals of Hope
Meals of Hope – International Project
In September 2022, the Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch collaborated with the Punta Gorda Rotary Club. These clubs worked together with Rotary District 6960, Meals of Hope, and Water One, Inc., to deliver about 33,000 packaged meals and water purification kits to many refugee camps in Ukraine.
The packed meals arrived in Ukraine in April 2023 after being shipped from New Orleans by Meals of Hope on February 8, 2023. They went directly to Lviv, Ukraine.
The Water Purifiers were finally shipped in May and arrived in Lviv, Ukraine, on June 9, 2023, to the Ukraine Unity RC for distribution. These were received in Lviv on June 9th, 2023. They are being distributed from the Lviv Rotary hub. The Rotary International General Secretary John Hewko made a visit and was proud of the work everyone has done.
A big thank you to all who made this project successful.
