A Brief History Established on May 2nd, 2022, thanks to the visionary efforts of founders Peter and Laurie Widmark, the Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch commenced its journey with a band of 20 community-spirited individuals. This nascent group, united by a shared goal of creating positive change, has flourished over time to a commendable 37 members.
Inclusivity and Diversity at Its Core With a robust focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), the club is keen on weaving a fabric that reflects myriad backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives. Their drive to accentuate diversity is evident in the leadership, with Priya Ahluwalia serving as the current president.
Priya, an emblem of dedication and passion, embodies the spirit of “Service Above Self.” To her, Rotary isn’t just a platform but a reflection of her very ethos.
